Staff of the Month: December — Jenny Nguyen

Success Virtual Learning Centers of Michigan is excited to recognize Jenny Nguyen, Executive Administrative Assistant, as our December Staff of the Month. If you’ve ever wondered how so much gets done so smoothly across our organization, chances are Jenny had a hand in it. She calls her day “organized chaos—in the best way,” and it fits: she’s answering questions, supporting staff, updating systems, solving problems, and keeping essential operations moving behind the scenes. No two days look the same, and Jenny thrives on that energy.

At the heart of Jenny’s work is a simple, powerful goal: help people do their best work. She’s the person you reach out to when a process is confusing, when you need the right resource fast, or when a new tool could make a daily task easier. Jenny enjoys being that “go-to” support and approaches challenges like puzzles to be solved—diagnosing what isn’t working, fixing it, and clearing the way so center teams can focus on students. That mindset shows up in how she communicates, too. Whether she’s writing step-by-step guides, clarifying a new workflow, or answering a flurry of emails, she believes clear, approachable communication saves time and builds trust across the organization.

Her influence is especially visible in onboarding new team members. Jenny remembers what it feels like to be new, so she aims to be the friendly, dependable presence that helps people feel supported from day one. She builds resources, checks in proactively, and creates a welcoming experience that reflects our culture. Ask what she’s most proud of and she’ll point to the tools and systems she’s helped build—especially the ones that save staff time or reduce confusion. If you’ve ever said, “Wow, this makes things so much easier,” Jenny considers that a win.

How does she keep so many plates spinning? Systems upon systems—color-coding, lists, reminders, and (by her own admission) “maybe one too many spreadsheets.” If something can be automated, she’s on it. Those small, thoughtful efficiencies compound into a big impact: fewer bottlenecks, more clarity, and a steadier day for everyone else. Her philosophy for a positive workplace is just as practical—kindness and consistency—because reliability and patience create a ripple effect throughout the team.

Outside of work, Jenny recharges with creativity and tech. She loves starting imaginative projects (even if a few remain delightfully unfinished), and she builds video games for fun—drawn to the thrill of seeing ideas come to life in code. When it’s time to fully unplug, she picks up a controller and plays.
